Bringing together Silicon Valley expertise and global leaders in the field, the Stanford Arts Institute will present a series of conversations in the 2013-2014 academic year, organized by Cathy Horyn, fashion critic for The New York Times. The series will bring diverse perspectives from the fields of design, photography, business, and criticism to the Stanford community.

CATHY HORYN
Cathy Horyn has been the fashion critic of The New York Times since 1999. Her articles about the industry and other topics also appear in The New York Times Magazine. She created the popular Times blog On the Runway. Prior to joining the paper, Horyn was a contributing writer at Vanity Fair. From 1990 to 1995, she was the fashion writer at The Washington Post. She is currently working on a history of The New York Times fashion coverage since 1852.
